Marietta Museums
Built circa 1845, this historic site is one of the oldest frame homes in Marietta and offers a look into middle class, 19th Century Georgian life. The museum offers restored display rooms featuring period furniture and artifacts, a garden and a gift store.
Fans of this Civil War epic will appreciate the extensive collection of artifacts and collectibles relating to the Hollywood production and novel. Visitors can peruse a selection of promotional items, a gift shop and more. A highlight of the museum is an original gown worn by Vivien Leigh in the film.
Located in Marietta Square in the historic Kennesaw House, this community musuem features 19th- and 20th-century homelife displays, a Civil War gallery and regional general-history exhibits. The museum also plays host to numerous cultural events and offers a wide range of educational resource services.
